Most people can make a broad plan. They can talk about wanting to buy a house or start a family. They can talk about opening a new business or expanding their existing client base. There is nothing wrong with these plans. However, as they stand, they are far too simplistic to be worth much.
Why? Because the details matter. If something is going to go wrong, it is usually not in the big picture. It is usually in the small things. We can account for big things, but trying to keep track of all the little things is much more daunting. Even so, this is why the details are so important.
Therefore, as you approach life, never neglect the details if you want to stay on track.
